BUZZ! : Levels 3 - 6

Engaging the students in hands-on learning activities, we aim to instil a desire to care for bees consolidated by an emerging understanding of the impact bees have on our environment. Students will engage in learning experiences that explore the workings of a beehive; food security; pollination; bee biology; and the production of honey.

The honey tasting at the end of the session emphasises the importance of bees to our livelihoods. It provides an in-depth understanding of how the flavour profiles of the honey relate directly to where the bees collected the nectar, as well as being a sweet way to end the session!
